Human responsibility. AI tools. Real stakes.
An in-person, full-time learning experience in Skellefteå where you train human and AI intelligence together, by making decisions inside real sustainability challenges, with real consequences.
This is not an upgrade to education. It's a different set of demands.
Real problems don't come from case books. They come from people who live with the outcome.
You don't train judgment in isolation. You train it by working on problems that already exist in the world, together with people who are accountable for what happens next.
At ELVA, challenges come from organisations operating inside real systems. Industry, infrastructure, energy, society. These are not exercises written for education. They are live questions that have not been resolved yet.
You work close to the source. Asking sharper questions. Testing ideas against reality. Learning what holds up.
Partners bring problems, context, and constraints. They do not bring ready-made answers.
Three spaces you move between

The Studio
Real-world challenges with real stakeholders and real constraints.

The Lab
AI tools, methods, skill sprints, and experimentation tied directly to the work.

The Agora
Reflection, dialogue, disagreement, and explanation of decisions made.
Skellefteå
Why this. Why now. Why here.
ELVA is based in Skellefteå, Sweden. If you look at a map, Skellefteå doesn't look extreme. It's just a dot in the north of Sweden. But when you stand there in January, you understand something the map doesn't show. You go to work in the dark and you leave in the dark. In the summer, around the solstice, you get more than twenty hours of sunlight. The same place. But a completely different rhythm.
People adapt. In winter, you focus your attention inward. In summer, it never really gets dark. You plan to go in and then notice it's nearly midnight. The day just keeps going. So do people.
The landscape is part of everyday life here. There are more trees than people. And you're free to move through forest, water and open land without asking permission. You're trusted to leave no trace, and to pay attention to the people around you. Freedom is assumed, but so is responsibility.
Skellefteå adds another variable: rapid industrial transition. Energy systems are expanding. New factories are being built. Infrastructure is under pressure. Decisions about sustainability and technology are not theoretical here. They affect employment, housing and electricity use.
If you want to study systems in theory, you can do that anywhere.
If you want conditions that force judgment, this place will make sense fast.
If you want a smooth experience, it will not.
ELVA trains judgment under pressure — where human decisions and AI consequences meet.
An in-person, full-time learning experience in Skellefteå where you train human and AI intelligence together — by making decisions inside real sustainability challenges, with real consequences.
You don't learn about hybrid intelligence.
You are tested on it repeatedly.
Short cycles. Fast feedback. High expectations.
Week by week, you produce proof you can stand behind.
Less theory. More accountability.
Human judgment. AI capability. Real stakes.
Every week at ELVA is designed to strengthen your Hybrid Intelligence: the ability to combine human judgment and AI capability in a responsible, effective way.
AI collaboration
Using AI as a cognitive partner. Analysis, synthesis, exploration. While staying accountable for decisions and impact.
AI can analyse patterns at a scale we can't. Humans still carry the consequences.
If those two aren't working together, systems break down.
That's the reality the programme responds to.
You don't leave as a "sustainability expert" or "AI specialist".
You leave with evidence — of judgment, of responsibility, of decisions made under constraint.
You leave as someone who can:
- operate effectively in human + AI systems
- navigate sustainability-driven complexity
- make decisions when the cost of being wrong is real
and:
- a portfolio of real-world work
- documented proofs of Hybrid Intelligence in action
- experience working with experts and industry partners
- a method you can take anywhere, immediately
Another course might keep you busy. That's not the same as evolving.
This is for you if...
- You are frustrated by environments where decisions are simulated rather than owned
- You want to work with AI — not compete against it or hide from it
- You care about sustainability because it affects real lives, not because it's fashionable
- You are willing to work without a playbook, status, or guarantee
This is not for you if...
- You want clear instructions and predefined answers
- You're mainly looking for a credential
- You're uncomfortable taking responsibility for real decisions

Limited seats. Rolling admissions.
If this resonates, don't wait.
This is your chance to be accountable.
Over time, you stop reacting to complexity.
You learn to operate inside it.
To train the kind of intelligence the future already demands.
To work with AI, not under it.
To solve problems that matter.
